FAQ

What's the deal with insurance?
Check with your provider to see if they accept your insurance in-network.
All of our providers accept Out of Network benefits. Confused? We get that a lot, don’t worry. Depending on your plan, you may be elligables for reimbursements. Each month you will receive a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement.

What types of treatment do you offer?
Therapists at Mindful Healing Connections offer a wide range of treatment, based on each client’s individual needs. A few treatment modalities that we typically utilize include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’! We work from a person centered approach, ensuring that each person is receiving the treatment that works best for them.
-
How should I prepare for my first appointment?
Easy – don’t. First sessions can be scary. Take some deep breaths and let us lead the way. We will ask a lot of general questions including physical and mental health history, current medications, symptoms you might be having and your reason for reaching out. Not sure about how to answer? That’s okay! We’ll have a lot of time in the future to explore these topics further.
-
What does holistic care mean?
Here at Mindful Healing Connections, we treat the person as a whole. Typically, we will obtain consent to speak with other providers you are currently seeing, and sometimes previous providers in order to get a holistic view of you. We work closely with doctors, schools, dieticians, physical therapists, other mental health therapists and professionals who provide medication management services.

-
Do you offer family and/or group sessions?
